For over 30 years, The Sons & Daughters of Italy Choir has kept alive the traditions of its Italian roots through the singing of traditional, contemporary, and classical music throughout our community. Formed in 1989, The Sons of Italy Choir is a mixed voice community choir with men and women joining from all areas of Hamilton. It has expanded considerably since the early days, and continues to grow in membership each year.
It began with support from The Sons & Daughters of Italy Trieste Lodge, Hamilton, in its early years of growth. The singers are pleased to have Pat De Caria as current President and Angelo Venditti as current Artistic Director and, through their leadership and musical talent, continues to be a success. Members of the Executive team work together in support of the choir’s activities.

We promote Italian culture through a rich blend of Italian opera, regional Italian music, international, contemporary pop and much more, playing in Hamilton, Sudbury, Toronto, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Brantford, Galt, Guelph, and Kingston.

The choir rehearses and presents their annual Christmas and Spring concerts at the Hamilton Italian Centre with the addition of an Italian-style dinner and some late night dancing—a celebratory night that often sees a sell-out show.

Each season, the choir is in great demand for performances at business functions, retirement and nursing homes, festivals, church, or other charity events throughout the Hamilton-Burlington region.
